OpenShift platform operations

For one of the largest Czech manufacturers we act as a long-term platform team running a fleet of more than ten production OpenShift clusters on VMware, bare metal and Microsoft Azure. We upgrade the whole fleet regularly (from 4.16 to 4.22 over the last two years), handle incidents and problems including root-cause analysis, rotate certificates, maintain DR plans and run failover tests.

VMware to OpenShift migration

VMware licensing changes are pushing many companies to look for a way out. We have already walked that path, designing and delivering a programme to move from VMware to OpenShift on bare metal.

Red Hat OpenShift implementation

We build new platforms with a proven approach: high-level design, infrastructure preparation, installation, GitOps structure, backup and restore (etcd, OADP), DR scenarios and handover documentation. This is how we built, for example, a fintech environment from lab to production, bare-metal clusters for a telecom operator and a backup cluster in Azure managed with Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management.

GitOps, CI/CD and automation

We manage cluster and application configuration as code with Argo CD, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform and Ansible (AWX) connected to Git (Azure DevOps, GitLab). We introduce progressive delivery with Argo Rollouts and give developers pipeline templates and self-service development environments (Red Hat DevSpaces, Developer Hub). The result: repeatable changes, an auditable history and less manual work.

OpenShift AI and GPUs

We run AI on the customer's own infrastructure, so data never leaves your environment. In production we operate, for example, an AI agent that analyses batch-job logs, built on Red Hat OpenShift AI with several smaller language models supporting Czech and its own ML pipeline. We manage GPU nodes with the NVIDIA operator and teach the official AI267 course.

Observability and monitoring

We have our own observability stack, Erynis, built on Prometheus, Thanos and Grafana and extended with Loki, Vector and OpenTelemetry. It also integrates with Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic or Zabbix. Metrics, logs and traces from many clusters in a single view, with alerts that reach people who actually see them.

Security and identity management

• HashiCorp Vault as an enterprise service: upgrades, automated backups, DR, PKI and the Vault Secrets Operator on OpenShift. Our engineers are certified Vault Associates.
• Identity: Red Hat build of Keycloak (including migration from RH SSO) and Red Hat Identity Management.
• Policy and audit: Kyverno, Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security and security assessments based on CIS and STIG.

Architecture, audits and FinOps

We carry out independent reviews of OpenShift environments, write architecture designs (HLD) and provide platform architects embedded in customer teams. We can tell you what your platform really costs: for a bank we built a cost model comparing OpenShift on-premise and on AWS, and we cut costs by, for example, automatically shutting down non-production clusters.

Red Hat training and certification

As a Red Hat Authorized Training Partner we have delivered 55 course runs over the last two years in Prague, Bratislava and on-site abroad, in Czech and English.
